Watching Fox News after the show, and interspersed with storm coverage, the anchors continue to ruminate on the Benghazi coverup. It's hard for me to work up a head of steam over this. Not that what happened to the ambassador doesn't matter, but the government is acting just the way I'd expect it to. You see, Congress has given the power of life and death to the president via the NDAA, the Patriot Act, all sorts of liberty-stripping laws and orders. People now live or die based on the president's say-so.
Now that Americans lives are cheapened by our so-called "representatives", why be surprised (or appalled) that some are allowed to die? Our government demonstrates daily just how much it values us, values life, values jurisprudence, and values the Constitution. In other words, "not much". I consider us warned. Look at how the sheep clap and bleat their approval every time a president kills an enemy through liberty-shredding actions. We delude ourselves to presume that "we" will never be the target of such actions.
