7:35 Terence Winters, PhD co-author of Sex, Diet and Tanning: The Curious Story of the Drug to Induce a Natural Tan Including All You Ever Wanted to Know About Tanning.

www.sexdietandtanning.com

Sex, Diet and Tanning tells the true story of the development of the tanning drug known sequentially as Melanotan, Epitan and then Scenesse (afamelanotide), from its discovery in the laboratories of University of Arizona (UA) to the start of the clinical trials.

It also includes everything you need to know about the biology of tanning written in a way that can be easily understood. It is now approved by the FDA and EMA and is marketed in the USA and the EU to treat an orphan disease by causing the patient to develop a natural tan without exposure to sunlight.

The story covers the incredible properties of this class of drugs which include sexual arousal, weight loss and tanning in humans, which led to the nickname of the “Barbie Drug”. It describes the risks and uncertainties of the company start-up process and how decisions must be made based on limited information and implemented with scarce amounts of capital.

The story takes several surprising turns including the accidental discovery of the sexual arousal properties and relocation from Tucson, Arizona to Melbourne, Australia due to the availability of funding. It also includes a tragic murder and some really interesting personalities. It is a guide to structuring a start-up company and making it successful.

Every State is a Border State: Biden’s Border Policies Threaten the Safety of Americans Nationwide

Biden’s Border policies threaten the safety of Americans across the country. Here is some important information about the deadly drugs flowing across our border and into your community:

  • Drug overdose deaths, fueled by fentanyl, hit a record high in the U.S. last year.

Cartels earn up to $6 billion a year from smuggling migrants into the U.S., according to John Condon, a senior DHS official, who appeared before the House Homeland Security Committee’s oversight subcommittee. This enhances their ability to produce and smuggle lethal narcotics.

7:35 Josephine County Commissioner Herman Baertschiger, also current ORP chair. We discuss politics, the gun range giveaway in Jo Co and other issues.

8:10 Matt From Grants Pass – Part 2 on his research into leftist indoctrination in Public schools and the intentional lack of parental control…GET OUT!

Here are some show notes from Matt for you to check out:

Here’s the link for just one of the “ODE Sexuality Education Newsletters.” You could spend days reading through all of them and months if you click on all the links and the links those links lead to.

https://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/ORED/bulletins/3053430

Notice in the “Sex Ed News & Resources” section what the resources are under “News Stories” and “Resources.”

Thre’s a link for just one of the videos under “News Stories.” The title is, “How the Pandemic Disrupted Sex Ed when Students Needed It Most.”

Watch the whole 3 minutes but give special attention to: 1:22 on the timeline about students having privacy at home. What she means is that parents may be watching. Then she mentions, “a fear of being recorded.” Is she referring to the kids or the teachers? Could you imagine if a child porn/abuse criminal logged into one of these online classes? Who is protecting our kids? Planned Parenthood gets a shoutout too.

You’ll see the TARO stuff as you near the bottom quarter of the web page.

The Oregon laws I mentioned on air are attached in the Parental Rights doc.. I only touched on the mental health part on air, but you can see I copied other health related ORS’s.

Like I said, this stuff is so well entrenched for a for more than 100 years it can’t be rooted out. People need to save their kids and get them out. I haven’t researched anything the federal government has done or is doing.

6:35 Inez Stepman, Senior Policy Analyst at the Independent Women’s Forum, www.iwf.org

Independent Women’s Voice, Independent Women’s Law Center, Women’s Liberation Front, and Other Women’s Rights Advocates Introduce Women’s Bill of Rights

Washington, D.C. — On a press call this afternoon, Independent Women’s Voice (IWV), Independent Women’s Law Center (IWLC), and Women’s Liberation Front (WoLF) unveiled and called for legislative adoption of the Women’s Bill of Rights to protect biological sex as a distinct legal category.

Dictionaries commonly define “woman” as an “adult female human being.” But that basic definition has come under fire in recent years by activists who dispute the biological basis of womanhood. Likewise, the past few years have seen numerous efforts to decouple the legal meaning of sex from biology.

Read the Women’s Bill of Rights HERE.

Kevin Towers: Medford’s Baseball G.M.

By Dennis Powers

Kevin Towers grew up in the Rogue Valley after his family moved to Medford from Northern California when he was a child. He excelled at three sports at Medford High School, standing out as a baseball pitcher with a fastball in the low 90-mph range. He and his teammates took the Black Tornado to the state quarterfinals and semifinals in their junior and senior seasons respectively. Graduating in 1979, he with three other teammate friends headed to Mira Costa College in Oceanside, California, to play baseball.

While there, he was considered one of the team leaders and a “tough, gritty, always-on-fire guy.” After one season of junior college ball, Towers went on to play for Brigham Young. Kevin was drafted in the first round in 1982 by the Padres as a pitcher. Although he didn’t move past AAA baseball and then injured his arm, he moved into scouting after seven years in the minor leagues.

Kevin became a pitching coach in the minor leagues (1989-1990), a scout for the Padres (1989-1991) and Pittsburgh Pirates (1991-1993), and then rejoined the Padres as scouting director in 1993. He became the general manager of the San Diego Padres in 1995, which lasted for 14 seasons–a long tenure with a career that included four National League West titles with a World Series appearance for his team in 1998. The new owner of the Padres let him go in 2009 as part of an overall front-office “house cleaning”.

After leaving the Padres, Towers went on to being a special assignment scout for the New York Yankees for the 2010 season. Then, the front office of the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2011 where he worked until 2014 as a general manager. In his first season in 2011, Arizona went from last to first in the NL West and improved by 29 wins.

Towers was known for his ability to find pitchers and other players who had been released by another team and then did well. On the heels of two 81-81 campaigns, the D’backs were more than 20 games below .500 when he was let go by Arizona during the 2014 season. Towers then joined the Cincinnati Reds as a special assistant and remained in that role for three seasons.

He died in early 2018 from thyroid cancer at age 56. Major leaguers considered him to being “one of the most well-liked individuals in the game whose love of life and baseball will be missed.” Along with an athletic savvy–not just in baseball–but an ability to learn, retain, and apply what he had experienced. One of his former players, Padres closer Trevor Hoffman, was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018 and joined others in emphasizing the great impact he had on their careers. Elected to the San Diego Padres and Medford Athletic Hall of Fame, Kevin Towers didn’t forget his Medford roots, no matter how far away he was during his career.
