The MRC NewsBusters analysis of PolitiFact for the first three months of this year has revealed that the site fact-checks Republicans more often than Democrats and is much harsher in its opinions of the GOP side.
For Republicans, there were 63 fact checks: 8 listed as True/Mostly True, 8 as Half True, and 47 as Mostly False/False/Pants On Fire.
Compared to the Democrats, there were 39 fact checks: 22 listed as True/Mostly True, 7 as Half True, and 10 as Mostly False/False/Pants On Fire.
