MERK ENGAGES IN “THE LIE OF OMISSION”
Senator Merkley fibs a big one via not telling the whole story. (From his Press Mouth) “Oregon’s U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley joined his Senate colleagues to introduce a resolution opposing Congressional Republicans’ plan to impose a nationwide sales tax on all goods and services, which would increase prices for hardworking families by 30 percent.” <snip> What Merk “forgot” to mention is they’d eliminate the IRS and the Federal Income Tax in exchange. Oh, and the plan proposed a 23 percent sales tax, not 30. The 30 percent number is what the Lefty Brookings Institute claims it would need to be. Still, I really dislike anyone not telling the whole story. We can talk about whether this is a GOOD idea or NOT, but you should read up on the proposal at: https://taxfoundation.org/fair-tax-national-sales-tax/

presents
The Babys in Concert – VIP Experience available, see details below
Born in 1976, THE BABYS took on the classic rock world head first with a full stage musical experience, giving rise to what quickly came to be known as their ‘signature sound’. Billboard chart-climbers like “Every Time I Think of You”, “Midnight Rendezvous” and “Isn’t It Time” helped to launch them into worldwide recognition while also helping to carve out their permanent place in music history. THE BABYS were the first band ever signed to a million dollar record deal with Chrysalis Records on the basis of a ‘new’ thing called ‘video’. THE BABYS classic songs have withstood the test of time – with their hits still being played in rotation around the globe, and influencing bands of ‘the day’ and emerging artists respectively. Rock radio DJ/music enthusiast Paul Nicholls of Feel the Steel on Platinum Rock Radio UK echoed that sentiment during his interview with THE BABYS in August 2016, stating, “Without The Babys being around, music in the 80’s would’ve been a lot different.”

Tuesday 3-07-23 Bill Meyer Show Guest Information
6:35 Maxine Albert, wife and longtime partner of author Curtis Ellis, who died from his battle with cancer on February 14, 2021.
Prominent economic and trade expert Curtis Ellis exposes the dark side of China’s rise in this chilling account of its mission to destroy America.
GET THE BOOK: Pandemonium: China’s Global Strategy to Cripple America
This comprehensive, vitally important book reveals China’s decades-long campaign to weaken and overtake America through economic warfare, trade abuse, technology theft, and cyber espionage. Curtis Ellis, one of the most strategic thinkers of our time, offers a precise and skillful analysis to create an essential roadmap in redirecting American thinking about the Chinese Communist Party and its mission for global primacy. The reader will find compelling reminders of how our nation’s successes were built on the principle of self-reliance and became the greatest industrial power in the world, how far we have strayed from that path and lost our way, and how we can get it back.
7:10 Ken Davis, an attorney with decades of corporate management experience in the electric and gas power industry.
In the latest development in the gas stove controversy, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recently approved a request for information about health hazards posed by gas stoves – a procedural step, in which the CPSC requests feedback from scientists and the public, that is necessary for new regulations (link).
Ken’s press statement is below:
“Americans should take no comfort from the gas lighting spin of the White House and CPSC…The CPSC Commissioner who revealed plans for a ban simply said the quiet part out loud.
“Biden’s Department of Energy has turned up the heat even more when, for the first time, it proposed restrictive energy consumption limits for gas stoves. These moves against gas stoves are part of a much wider war by the Biden administration and their radical environmentalist allies against the production and use of all fossil fuels. Their stated goal is to ‘decarbonize’ the American economy and drive us all toward a supposedly climate-friendly future powered and heated and cooled by electricity produced by inefficient weather-dependent wind and solar generators.
“The move against gas stoves, and the rest of the administration’s decarbonization agenda, has been rightly attacked as a misbegotten effort that is economically wasteful, technologically impossible to achieve, and destabilizing to our national security.”
7:35 Josephine County Commissioner Herman Baertschiger talks political issues including homelessness this morning.
8:10 Kevin Starrett at Oregon Firearms Federation – www.OregonFirearms.org – a push for constitutional carry ballot measure…what’s the danger?
8:35 Sherri Davidoff is a cybersecurity expert, penetration tester, author, speaker and CEO of LMG Security. She is a recognized expert in digital forensics and cybersecurity, and is coauthor of Network Forensics: Tracking Hackers Through Cyberspace (Prentice Hall, 2012). Sherri has consulted and/or conducted cybersecurity training for many distinguished organizations, including the Department of Defense, the American Bar Association, FFIEC/FDIC, and many more.
The successful launch of ChatGPT is pushing Big Tech, including Microsoft and Google, to accelerate A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) research and speed up product roll outs. Google released its own A.I.-assisted search engine while Microsoft announced a new version of its own search engine Bing to be powered by a large language model similar to ChatGPT. But what does it all mean? But do we know enough about what A.I will bring?
“It’s difficult to explain to the average person but ChatGPT, and other AI technologies, are coming fast and furious and have the potential to have the same kind of impact the personal computer had on all of us 50-years ago,” says Tech and Cybersecurity Expert and CEO of Cybersecurity giant ‘LMG Security’ Sherri Davidoff (see short bio below). “The question is – are we able right now to assess which way this may go.”
Bottom line is A.I. could enhance office work by improving employee efficiency and productivity while paving the way for major changes in search engines, in-office apps, and everyday tasks. Already reading and writing are now within A.I.’s capabilities and that will have a very broad impact in the near future.

8:10 Dr. Dennis Powers, “Where Past Meets Present” – More about Dennis at www.DennisPowersBooks.com
Rick Bailey: SOU President
By Dennis Powers
In January 2022, Dr. Richard J. Bailey began his tenure as the President of SOU. Prior to then, he was President of Northern New Mexico College (“NNMC”) for five years in the city (10,000 population) of Española (25 miles NW of Santa Fe). He previously completed a 24-year career in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a full colonel and command pilot with more than 3,500 flying hours.
His career began after graduation from the U.S. Air Force Academy (see below), where he received his Air Force commission, served flying tours in the C-9A, C-141B, and UV-18B (Twin-Otter) aircraft and has been an aircraft commander, instructor pilot and flight examiner.
Rick earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering sciences from the U.S. Air Force Academy (1992), his master’s degree in international affairs from Washington University in St. Louis (1993-1997), and his doctorate in government from Georgetown University (2003-2006). He served as a military liaison and defense trade analyst for two years at the U.S. State Department after receiving his doctorate. He then served (2008-2011) as NATO’s chief air operations officer at Joint Force Command Brunssum in The Netherlands, overseeing air operations for the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan.
For one year, he commanded two military Forward Operating locations in Curacao and Aruba with responsibility for over 350 multi-national deployed personnel engaged in US Interagency counter drug operations. Dr. Bailey (2012-2016) then became the first-ever dean of students at the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies at Air University, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama–and the Professor of Strategy and Security Studies.
NNMC (2022) is 2/3rds Hispanic or Latino, NAIA, four-year degree programs, enrollment of 1050, and where 50% are full-time. There, Dr. Bailey increased enrollment by more than 20%, cut student loan defaults by 50%, and more than doubled the college’s graduation rate–without increasing tuition rates. He brokered a partnership to construct a 1.5 megawatt solar array in lowering utility costs, plus established a corporation to partner with business entities to diversify the college’s revenue streams.
His background focus is making “higher education attainable to learners of all backgrounds and ages;” he taught math and science to inner-city 7th and 8th grade students during a volunteer program in San Antonio, Texas. Bailey’s master’s thesis was on the struggle for women’s rights in Latin America and his doctoral dissertation examined changes in U.S. military policy brought about by integration in the armed services.
