6:35 Jason Isaac, CEO and Founder of the American Energy Institute
A group of Democrat governors announced the formation of the “Affordable Clean Cars Coalition,” in an effort to defy Congress and the Trump Administration and defend California’s harmful vehicle mandates. In a joint statement, the governors of Colorado, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Washington blamed the federal government for creating needless chaos and repeated “green energy” talking points, while avoiding policy commitments that are increasingly unpopular in recent months.
The most radical of these policies is the electric vehicle mandate, which would ban the sale of all gas-powered vehicles by 2035. Many blue states like Maryland and New York have moved away from this goal, citing the irreparable damage it would have on auto manufacturers and the monumental cost passed on to consumers and taxpayers. Now, the “Affordable Clean Cars Coalition,” is reviving this radical climate-crazed rhetoric that only serves leftist political points while making Americans pay for the cost.
7:40 Jeff Dornik, founder and CEO of Pickax, the groundbreaking social media platform built on two uncompromising principles: freedom of speech and freedom of reach. His newest book is called, Following the Leader.

8:30 Charles H. Smith, author of “The Mythology of Progress – Anti-Progress and a Mythology for the 21st Century” – Charles is one of the most thought-provoking writers I’ve read lately. I really enjoy his book, here’s more from the Amazon page:
To stop harming our health and our planet in the name of growth, we need a new mythology for the 21st century, one that puts sustainable well-being above growth for growth’s sake and technology for technology’s sake.
The current mythology—Technology-Driven Progress—is so taken for granted that it’s unrecognized as an imaginary construct. Basking in the powers of technology, we see ourselves as far removed from the ancients’ gods and goddesses. But we’ve created a secular mythology that disconnects us from the consequences of our advances, consequences that are the opposite of real progress: Anti-Progress.
We bristle at the revelation that Progress is a mythology, and so it’s necessary to lay bare its inner workings as the first step to designing a new mythology that replaces Anti-Progress with a clear-eyed acceptance of consequences and tradeoffs as they are, rather than as we imagine them.
To truly progress, we must accept that our need for mythology hasn’t gone away because we have technology; we’ve created a mythology of technology that is heedless of its own Anti-Progress. To save the world and ourselves, we need a new mythology that embraces 21st century realities.

ABOUT: Founded in 1982 by Llewellyn H. Rockwell, Jr., with the blessing and aid of Margit von Mises, Murray N. Rothbard, Henry Hazlitt, and Ron Paul, the Institute seeks a free-market capitalist economy and a private-property order that rejects taxation, monetary debasement, and a coercive state monopoly of protective services.
Non-political, non-partisan, and non-PC, the Institute works with students and scholars from many countries, and reaches out to business leaders, professionals, and everyone else interested in our mission. We believe that our foundational ideas are of permanent value, and oppose all efforts at compromise, sellout, and amalgamation of these ideas with fashionable political, cultural, and social doctrines inimical to their spirit.
