Please visit www.SGA.ORG to help provide firewood, blankets, and generators to cold Ukrainians. Each $25 helps one family.
Ukrainians are bracing for a devastating one-two punch this winter — a frightening combination of hours-long power blackouts and freezing temperatures that range between 24°F and 34°F.
“This is possibly Europe’s biggest humanitarian crisis since World War II,” said Michael Johnson, President of Slavic Gospel Association, a Christian mission to Ukraine. “Without firewood, generators, and blankets for heat, many of the most vulnerable – like the elderly and families with children — could die. The Ukrainian winter is long and brutal.”
In 1 Corinthians 12:26, the Apostle Paul says of the body of Christ, “If one part suffers, every part suffers with it.”
Michael Johnson, President of the Slavic Gospel Association,
has launched the “Heat and Hope” campaign in Ukraine.
Founded in 1934, the Illinois-based organization has launched an emergency response — Heat and Hope — supplying firewood, coal, blankets, and warm clothes to Ukrainian families. They will also provide generators to local Evangelical churches in Ukraine which are doubling up as community warming centers.

I talk with Corinne about is Brian Cole Jr. the J6 Pipe Bomber? Journalist Corinne Clifford Interviewed the Suspect’s Mother
The confessed Jan. 6 pipe bomber flummoxed former President Joe Biden’s FBI before he was arrested and charged this week with planting the explosives outside the headquarters of both major political parties’ buildings in Washington, DC.
President Trump’s FBI, led by Director Kash Patel, and prosecutors have released few details about the accused 30-year-old’s motivations, but investigative leads that law enforcement officials and congressional committees disclosed in the years preceding the bomber’s arrest point to how agents found it so difficult to apprehend him.
“This case languished. It sat there for four years, collecting dust. No one did anything to solve this,” declared Attorney General Pam Bondi on “Fox and Friends” Friday morning. “Old evidence, new people, great police work, that’s all it is. Good old-fashioned police work.”
“All we can go off at this point is what the FBI has said and that is they put a fresh set of eyes on evidence the FBI has had for almost five years,” added a House Republican aide involved in an investigation into the pipe bomb. “It’s either incompetence or gross negligence.”

A new poll shows only 8% of American’s have a strong approval of mainstream media. Despite journalists claim they provide fair and balanced coverage, news consumers are not fooled by political activism masquerading as reporting.
A new platform is using the latest technology to analyze news articles based on an AI model that determines the reporters’ and outlets’ bias. In addition, each journalist’s profile contains work history, political giving and other data.

7:35 Capt. William E. Simpson – Wild Horse Fire Brigade – We talk today about the wolf predation problem. Bill has written about this more. Here’s a good one – LINK TO ARTICLE at Pitchstone Waters: https://www.pitchstonewaters.com/wolves-and-wildfires/
Main take away: We need an immediate moratorium on deer hunting in western states, especially in California. That same thing was done in 1910 when the deer population in CA plummeted due to over hunting by miners in the field. At that time, the CA population dropped to approximately 500,000 deer. The CA moratorium lasted ten years until 1927 when the population reached three-million (3-million) and hunting privileges were resumed. Today in CA the deer population is at approximately 380,000 if you believe those people (CDFW) who are responsible for this calamity (likely less). If we put normal prey animals back on the menu (increase deer and native wild horse populations) we will quickly see these RESULTS: 1) reduced grass and brush fuels that are fueling wildfire infernos… 2) less livestock taken as prey…. 3) a reduction of $-billions in taxes spent chasing ridiculous non-solutions that fail to address the CORE ROOT of the problems of Wolves and Wildfires.
This genuine solution, re-establishing vibrant herds of native herbivores benefits all stakeholders (taxpayers, hunters, ranchers), especially the American taxpayer who seems to be getting the shaft all the time by the same greedy mediocre minds that have created the problems in the first place. And these same people are doubling down on the same ridiculous approaches that merely address the symptoms of the problems.

Andy Maurer: Football Star and Coach from a Tiny Town
By Dennis Powers
Andy Maurer was born in small Silverton, Oregon (in eastern Willamette Valley) in 1948, and lived in even smaller Prospect (450 people, now) where he attended high school. Maurer played football on an eight-man team, but still stood out from that small town, earning All-American status in football and basketball as a 6-4, 220-pound athlete to go with his track and field marks.
He continued his athleticism on the collegiate level at the University of Oregon and played in the first game ever at Autzen Stadium when Colorado played Oregon in 1967. He play again stood out–as a fullback, tight end, and offensive lineman at Oregon from 1967-69–being selected by Atlanta during the 3rd round of the 1970 NFL Draft.
As an NFL offensive lineman (right guard and left tackle), he played four years with the Falcons, had two stints with the Minnesota Vikings and one year apiece with the New Orleans Saints, San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos–for a total of eight seasons. He was a starting guard for Minnesota in Super Bowl IX (won by the Pittsburgh Steelers), and for Denver in Super Bowl XII (won by the Dallas Cowboys). Maurer appeared in 109 regular season pro-football games, starting 84 of them; he started in all seven playoff games he appeared. Individually, he displayed durability as he put together a four-season consecutive games played streak (1970 to 1973).
After retiring from football, he moved to Medford and was a successful businessman. Maurer may have had his greatest impact when he founded and coached the Cascade Christian High School football program in 1992 (which then didn’t even have a field) and ultimately amassed a 100-78 record with the Challengers in the 1A to 3A class. The Challengers reached the state playoffs six times under him, winning the Class 2A crown in 2006 (returning to Autzen Stadium to lead Cascade Christian to its 27-18 win over Bonanza in this championship game). Cascade then moved up to the 3A level, and his teams reached the semifinal round in three of his final four seasons (retiring in 2010) while enjoying unbeaten regular seasons in 2005 and 2009.
His son, Marty, was quoted: “He didn’t just believe that he was training football players–he believed he was training husbands, fathers, future business owners and leaders, and he took that seriously as an important investment in the lives of the players he coached. Everyone has shared stories about how they’ve had their lives touched by my dad beyond football and it’s pretty cool to hear that.”
He died in early January 2016 at age 67 after a prolonged battle with cancer.
