Feds Sue Cattle Ranch Over 2018 Wildfire

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAS FILED A $14 MILLION DOLLAR LAWSUIT AGAINST A KLAMATH FALLS CATTLE RANCH OVER THE 2018 WATSON CREEK FIRE. THE SUIT ALLEDGES THAT A RANCH EMPLOYEE OF THE J-SPEAR- RANCH WAS DRIVING AN ATV, WHICH TOUCHED OFF THE WILDFIRE. THE FIRE ENDED UP CHARRING OVER 59,000 ACRES OF LAND, INCLUDING OVER 45,000 ACRES OF FEDERAL TIMBERLAND.

Grants Pass May Make "Parklets" Less Like Construction Zones

THE GRANTS PASS CITY COUNCIL IS LOOKING AT HOW TO MAKE, WHAT’S BEING CALLED “PARKLETS,” LESS LIKE CONSTRUCTION ZONES. THE DAILY COURIER SAYS THAT PARKLETS ARE BASICALLY OUTDOOR SEATING AROUND A HANDFUL OF DOWNTOWN BARS AND RESTAURANTS THAT ARE THERE TO EXPAND THE OUTDOOR SEATING, WHILE MAINTAINING SOCIAL DISTANCING.

Shooting Investigation In Josephine County

THE GRANTS PASS CITY A SHOOTING INVESTIGATION IS UNDERWAY IN THE AREA OF PINECREST DRIVE AND UPPER RIVER ROAD IN GRANTS PASS. THE JOSEPHINE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAID THAT THE INCIDENT TOOK PLACE LAST NIGHT, BUT NO OTHER DETAILS COULD BE RELEASED AT THIS TIME. ROADS IN THE AREA WERE BLOCKED OFF AS DEPUTIES SEARCHED FOR EVIDENCE.

MPD Investigates Wabash Avenue Stabbing

MEDFORD POLICE ARE LOOKING INTO A STABBING INCIDENT THAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT ON WABASH AVENUE. THE VICTIM REPORTED THAT SOMEONE STABBED HIM AS HE WAS GETTING HIS MAIL. A MANHUNT WAS ENACTED, BUT POLICE HAVE NOW SAID THAT THEY BELIEVE THAT THE VICTIM’S NON-LIFE THREATENING INJURIES WERE SELF-INFLICTED, BUT THE INVESTIGATION WILL CONTINUE.
