IN A TIME WHEN LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS AND AGENCIES ARE UNDER A MICROSCOPE BY A LARGE PORTION OF THE AMERICAN POPULATION, A GROUP GATHERED OUTSIDE OF THE GRANTS PASS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY YESTERDAY EVENING IN SUPPORT OF POLICE. ABOUT 100 PEOPLE GATHERED OUTSIDE THE STATION, THEN STAYED FOR ABOUT AN HOUR TO THANK THE OFFICERS AS THEY CHANGED SHIFTS.

THE GPDPS ONLINE REPORTING SYSTEM IS AVAILABLE FOR THE FOLLOWING TYPES OF CRIMES: LOST PROPERTY, FAILURE TO LEAVE NAME AT SCENE OF ACCIDENT, THEFT AND UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY INTO A MOTOR VEHICLE. INCIDENTS HAVE TO HAVE OCCURRED WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS IN ORDER TO COMPLETE AN ONLINE REPORT.

THE DOUGLAS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE IS INVESTIGATING, AFTER A PERSON POSTED TO SOCIAL MEDIA THAT THEY FOUND A NOOSE HANGING OVER THE YERT THAT THEY WERE STAYING IN OVER THE WEEKEND AT WHISTLER’S BEND PARK. ANYONE WHO MAY HAVE INFO IS ASKED TO CALL THE DOUGLAS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.
