FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ELECTED OFFICIALS AND CITIZENS TO CALL FOR THE REPEAL OF FIRE MAPS
AT PUBLIC TOWNHALL MEETING
Medford, Oregon February 24, 2025 – A public townhall meeting regarding the detrimental wildfire mapping, 762 (SB 678), has been planned for Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 2-4pm. It will be held at the gym at White Mountain Middle School, in White City, Oregon. It is located at 550 Wilson Way.
Senator Robinson, Representative McIntire, County Commissioner Colleen Roberts and other elected officials will be present. Bob Hart, a retired land consultant and an active opponent fighting the wildfire mapping and SB 762, will head the presentation.
“This is extremely urgent,” says Senator Robinson. “Property owners are being forced to decide if they can continue to afford to live on their property. We need to repeal these maps and all the attached laws, now”. Robinson will address questions and provide an update on legislation and his repeal of 762 (SB 678).
All those effected will be encouraged to file appeals to the wildfire mapping bill. March 8 is the last weekend before the appeals deadline of March 10. Please come prepared with your questions and let your voices be heard about this horrendous bill that threatens every rural property owner and their way of life.
