MEDIA AND SOCIAL MEDIA SUPPRESS SEN. RON JOHNSON HEARINGS.

One of the most suppressed stories of this week was the Covid-19 hearings held by U.S. Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin. NO major media was there, but the full hearing was carried on Del Bigtree’s site – https://thehighwire.com/videos/live-in-d-c-expert-panel-on-medical-mandates-vaccine-injuries/

The Vlad Tepes Blog has posted several “highlights” from that broadcast of Americans who testified to Covid-19 vaccine damage to either themselves or family members having been injured.

VACCINATING YOUR TEEN?

This billboard on Biddle road reads “Questions about Vaccinating Your Teen”? Okay, maybe you should ask them about Donna Shafer, a 16-year old from Cedarville, CA who is “Battling an Illness” after getting the Pfizer shot in June. Five days later she started to experience seizures, ticks, vision issues, and a lack of mobility.

She’s now in a wheelchair.

Modoc County Sheriffs are having a NO SHAVE NOVEMBER fundraiser to help Donna and her family. Would be curious what the medical people on the billboard’s “hotline” would have to say? Donna Shafer is probably a “Conspiracy Theory”? /Sarc

6:35 Jonathan W. Emord is a constitutional law attorney and author of The Authoritarians: Their Assault on Individual Liberty, the Constitution, and Free Enterprise from the 19th Century to the Present (2021).

Here’s Jonathan’s op-ed – STELLAR READ

NOVEMBER 1, 2021

Socialists and Communists Are Constitutionally Ineligible to Hold Office

If the Constitution were construed in accordance with its plain and intended meaning, there would be no question but that every member of Congress who is a self-described socialist would be ineligible to hold federal or state legislative, executive, and judicial office. Among self-avowed socialists serving in Congress are Democratic Socialists of America members Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez; Rashida Tlaib; Cori Bush; and Jamaal Bowman.  Senator Bernie Sanders and Congresswoman Ilhan Omar likewise describe themselves as “democratic socialists.” None is eligible to be in office under Article VI, Clause 3 of the Constitution. Moreover, legislators, executives, and jurists on the state and local level who are self-avowed socialists are likewise constitutionally ineligible to hold their offices under Article VI, Clause 3 and under Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution. In a just world, those provisions would be honored in consistent observance; the Republican Form of government would be protected, as the Founding Fathers expressly intended.

Monday 11-01-21 Bill Meyer Show Guest Information

6:35 Gregory Wrightstone, author of Inconvenient Facts: The Science Al Gore Doesn’t Want You to Know. Gregory is also founder of the CO2 Coalition

Gregory Wrightstone is a geologist with more than 35 years of studying the Earth’s processes. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Waynesburg University and a master’s from West Virginia University, both in the field of geology. He has presented the results of his research around the world, including India, Ireland and China.

Gregory’s book was the result of a quest for the truth about climate change — a subject uncritically reported by the mainstream media of an Earth lurching inexorably toward climate apocalypse. Contrary to the hyperbole of climate alarmists, Wrightstone’s review of the science provides the historical context of the Earth that shows clearly that rising temperatures and increasing carbon dioxide are benefiting both the planet and the human condition.

8:10 Dr. Dennis Powers, www.DennisPowersBooks.com with today’s “Where Past Meets Present”

Ted Adams: Comic Books, TV Series, and More

By Dennis Powers

Ted Adams grew up in Grants Pass and graduated from Southern Oregon University (then known as Southern Oregon State College) in 1990. He worked at the SOU Bookstore in gaining his education and later received an MBA from Notre Dame. His father, Brady Adams, had moved the family to Grants Pass in 1972 to work as a loan officer and later became president of Evergreen Federal Bank in the mid-1980s. Brady–a Republican known for keeping a tight rein on budgets–served eight years in the Oregon Legislature and was president of the Oregon Senate for the 1997 and 1999 sessions. When he wasn’t involved in politics, he worked to improve downtown Grants Pass and Josephine County, working on 20 local nonprofit boards over time. He died at age 70 in 2015.

Ted inherited his father’s work ethic and knew from an early age that he wanted to be a business owner. After his education, his passion for comic books took over, and Ted worked for different comic book publishing companies. In 1999, Ted founded IDW (standing for “Idea + Design Works”) with three others in San Diego. The company was originally envisioned as a creative services business and only tried comic book publishing as a “gamble” a couple of years later. Adams served from then as the company’s CEO and Publisher until 2018.

IDW began creating art and graphic designs for entertainment companies, all on a work-for-hire basis. The four who started the business had all worked at WildStorm Productions. When DC Comics (comic titles as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and more) bought WildStorm, it didn’t have interest in its creative service business and turned this over to them. Without the usual start-up hurdles, IDW was making money before it opened its first office.

IDW was making enough money that the group decided to gamble once a year on a new business. After trying a pilot for a failed TV show, producing an art book, and then 30 Days of Night (a 3-issue horror-vampire comic book miniseries, later made into a movie by Sony), it had their first hit comic book with CSI. This story is about an elite team of police forensic-evidence investigating experts who worked their cases in Las Vegas–and became the 7th longest running series on TV. No one thought about this as a comic book: that is, until IDW came along and published the serial comic books in 2003, after the TV series had been running for three years.

IDW Publishing is one of the top four U.S. comic book publishers, and the #1 supplier of licensed comic books. Over 80 IDW titles have appeared on The New York Times Best Sellers list. In fiscal-year 2015 alone, IDW published over 500 unique comic book titles and 250-plus graphic novels. (While a comic book tells a story over many issues, graphic novels have their storylines wrapped up in one or two books, are much longer, and tend to be more complex.)

IDW publishes some of the most popular titles in the industry, including: Hasbro’s Transformers, G.I. Joe, and My Little Pony; Paramount/CBS’s Star Trek; Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; Toho’s Godzilla; Twentieth Century Fox’s The X-Files; Lucas Films’ Star Wars; Sony’s Ghostbusters; Marvel Comics’ Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, and Avengers; multiple monthly Disney titles; and many more. It also publishes classic comic reprints, but concentrates in taking existing entertainment brands and turning them into comic books–not competing with the likes of Marvel’s superhero comics.

Ted’s talent is his ability to bring in the best talented artists and writers, and then work with them for success. His team’s comic books have evolved into multiple Eisner awards (the Oscars for the comic world)—48 now—and 27 Harvey awards (individual achievement in comic books). In 2007, New Jersey-based telecommunications company IDT purchased a “major interest” in IDW. The large capital backing allowed IDW to reach out in different ways. (IDT is a global provider of domestic and international calling services, voice and data conferencing options, and prepaid calling cards).

Ted Adams: “I think as an entrepreneur, and as somebody who publishes 70 books a month, that we have misses all the time. I try not to spend a lot of time thinking about those, other than I try to figure out: What did we do wrong? What could we have done better? Why didn’t the market respond to this? But I don’t sit at my desk and agonize and bash my forehead. But there have been lots of misses over the years. (But) we’ve published many, many thousands of comics and books.”

IDW Entertainment began in 2013 to fund, develop, and produce television series based on IDW books. IDW projects included Winterworld (earth turned into an “icy hell”), V-Wars, and Dirk Gently (BBC’s holistic detective series); its TV series Wynonna Earp fourth season aired in 2020 on the SyFy (once named, the “Sci-Fi”) channel. (Ted Adams in these TV series was the Executive Producer.)

In 2015, IDW acquired Top Shelf Productions, an award-winning publisher of graphic novels that included the comic-book adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Top Shelf published George Takei’s They Called Us Enemy in 2019, which debuted at #2 on the New York Times Paperback Nonfiction Best Sellers list and named a “Best Book of the Year” by numerous publications. Top Shelf’s #1 New York Times and Washington Post bestseller, March by Congressman John Lewis, Andrew Aydin, and Nate Powell, is the only graphic novel to have won a National Book Award.

In May 2019, Ted Adams and Robbie Robbins (one of the original founders) launched a new publishing house, Clover Press, for prose works, graphic novels, art books, productions and other works, in which IDW Publishing is an investor. Ted Adams stands out without question.
